Upcoming Games Need Confirmation From You

New dates coming as Poops and Professor coordinate the next few multiplayer games. Once that is sorted, dates will be published here on the Mana Drain.

LOOKING FOR BOOKKEEPER:

I was hoping someone can go through the Stats (including from the old print-days available below) and put them in an excel or google doc so that I can start a database and have accurate stats here. It’d be nice and the data is just sitting there. The volunteer earns a pass from me that they can redeem at will during a game. 😉

Also, look up to the left corner, behold a new Card of the Week! Professor used this card to shift the playing field forever running the “Sun Gun” deck. A much belated nod to one of the most annoying combos out there!

Also, as for the next game; I am hosting. As some of you know, I will be moving shortly to Watsonville but this Cube Event will be held at our old house on Westside (perhaps an empty house!). September 4, 2023 starting at 11:00AM. Make sure to be prompt, since we have to draft the Cube first and that takes a couple of hours. If you haven’t already, contact MrGz or reply here to confirm attendance so that I can plan appropriately as host. Thank you for your help. I will of course be bugging all of you for final confirmations.

The Time of the Cube Has Come

Gentlemen and Poopsie,

It is once again it is my distinct pleasure to announce and invite all comers to February’s Game on Monday, September 4 • 11:00am – 9:00pm at MrGonz’s Secret Lair.

Please note that this event will be held at my home to accommodate my particular circumstance. While I am improving, a game this long, I need access to my medical equipment.

Most of you have been to my house but if you don’t know the address, please reach out individually. I am not publishing my personal address on the web. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Also, here on the Mana Drain, the Professor handed over his data for the game results. I entered them in and they have been posted (to their original play date).

Finally, I am working quite a bit on Magic related stuff and very interested in play testing. Let me know if you’re up. Litigator, Dawg, Poops and Professor all have hit me up. If you’re new around here, you know where to find me.

A little clean up

Hi all,

Just letting you know that I am deprecating the old Mana Drain site found here: manadrain.forddesign.net

Now we are on my “retail” server thingsforthinking.com. Which can be found here: manadrain.thingsforthinking.com

While it may take some time, DNS servers should be slowly eliminating the original site’s links and most old links should be naturally resolving to the new URL. (its been running in tandem for a while). Its just that I want to only mange one “Magic friend” webpage—sorry.

Also working on the collection, filling out the staples and building a new deck. Oh, and then battling cancer. Anyways, I’m busy but not too busy for visits. Avoid Saturdays-every other day is usually pot-marked with doctors appointments but we can make time. Thanks to all that have come by. Other stinky boys are welcome.

Big thanks to the Professor today! Together we were able to make quick work of the Great Shuffle. We ended up with 1 extra card and Cube Cobra lists 2 extra cards anyways. Regardless we checked twice that each pack only has 15 cards.

Start thinking about your availability around August/Sept and let me know. I will be hosting Cube at my place to allow me to attend considering my handicap. I hope that you can make it.
